From 26 to 30 January 2027, the 29th edition of one of the toughest dog sled races in Europe will take place – the ŠEDIVÁČKŮV LONG.

Around 700 sled dogs and more than 100 mushers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Latvia, Hungary and Poland traditionally gather in Deštné for the start of the race. Racers face a traditional four-stage, 200 km trail and a five-stage, 300 km trail leading through the unpredictable and beautiful nature of the Orlické hory mountains.
